Set three years after the events of Iris, the 2013 action-packed sequel recruits Jang Hyuk and Lee Da Hae into the franchise as black ops agents battling the mysterious terrorist organization Iris, which is trying to incite war on the peninsula. Jang Hyuk stars as Jung Yoo Gun, a police officer scouted into the National Security Service where he leads a team of agents that includes his girlfriend. Both the NSS and Iris are after former NSS director Baek San (Kim Young Cheol) who holds the key to a secret nuclear weapon arsenal hidden somewhere in South Korea. During a botched operation, the NSS trade fire with Iris, and Yoo Gun gets shot and disappears. Presumed dead by the NSS, Yoo Gun reappears a year later as an Iris operative with no recollection of his past.
Lee Bum Soo co-stars as a North Korean operative with unclear motives and loyalties, while Oh Yeon Soo (Bad Guy) steps in as the new NSS assistant director who is determined to bring down Iris. BEAST's Yoon Doo Joon (All My Love), MBLAQ's Lee Joon (Ninja Assassin), A-JAX's Kim Hyeong Kon and Baek Sung Hyun (Big) join the team as NSS agents. Other new faces in the Iris world include Im Soo Hyang (New Tales of Gisaeng) as an Iris operative, Yoon So Yi (Warrior Baek Dong Soo) as a North Korean agent and Jo Sung Ha as the newly inaugurated South Korean president.
